about

Who builds PromptConduit.

PromptConduit is built and maintained by Scott Havird, an engineering leader who builds AI-powered products and the tooling around them. He also builds Havoptic, a visual release tracker for AI coding tools.

Why this exists

AI coding assistants spend real money and make real decisions, but the record of what happened in a session is scattered across transcripts, hook payloads, and billing dashboards. PromptConduit puts that record in one local file you can read, then adds cost, git context, and coaching on top. The CLI and the editor extension are open source under the MIT license, so every claim on this site can be checked against the code.

Who writes the guides

The blog and coaching guides are written by Scott Havird. Product behavior described there comes from the open-source code: the CLI and the editor extension. If something is wrong, open an issue on either repo.
